Project complete

I have been working on this baby for 18 months, it's finally done. I started it thinking that my unborn nephew would be a girl. He ended up being a boy, which I am really glad about, because I can keep this puppy. I am thrilled with the way it turned out. It is almost completely my own design. The center block was a pattern that I tweaked here and there. The rest was all me. And most of that fabric is from Heather Bailey, just an incredible designer of great fabric.

The cat insisted in being in several photos. I am not kidding.

He really stole the spotlight here.

Yes, I drew, cut and stitched every bit of that. I am so impressed with myself.

Prepare yourself, I have two other really great quilts nearing the finish line. Plus a cool skirt that I might even show you.

You've really done it this time, it looks great. I love to imagine the cat forcing himself into photos no matter what angle you tried taking them from.

An incredibly talented gal. You are an incredibly talented gal. Great job with the quilt. I still think the dance floor you built last night had a bit more heart put into it, though.

Really nice job. Again, this makes me wish I had some sort of actual skill.
If I ever got stuck in a fatally cold tundra with nothing but a bunch of fabric and needles and could choose one person to be there, you would be at the top of my list.

I am so upset that I wasn't born this talented. That quilt is the most amazing thing I have ever seen! It is gorgeous! I am way jealous that I don't have one of those for my animals to lay on.

Wow! I had no idea you were such a great seamstress. That is such a intricate quilt. I'm shocked you designed it let alone sewed it. Beautifully done.

Looking forward to the revealing of the upcoming quilts.

Oh my good heavens, Sarah-Ashley, this is glorious! What an absolute gift you have. And that cat! That cat! Please talk to him about the possibility of getting a picture of his all bundled up in one of these quilts.

I am really excited to see your next quilts and I hope things work out for us seeing that skirt.

A few friends and roommates have been in my bedroom here and all admire the quilt you made for me. I cannot get enough of it.

whoa. That is so beautiful. Does talent and patience come in a package, because I need some! My sister said it was a must see - she was right!

Sarah Ashley- this quilt is to die for. Are you selling it or giving classes? My sister, Angela, freaked out about it. Seriously, are you giving classes? Right now I can hear Angela telling my mom and relatives (I'm escaping a family party at the moment) about how they HAVE to see this quilt. Way to go ever-talented Sarah-Ashley.
